Why AirSoft Should Be Reclassified As Toy Guns, As It Was Before 2006:
AirSofters should work together towards having a new IRR signed by the new Chief PNP which classifies AirSoft Rifles/Pistols as toy air guns that do not require any PNP FED permit or license or registration so we will not have ANY red tape (like the COR, PTT, transfer, etc.) at all.
All we need to do is show that new IRR at checkpoints like all the years before 2006. No permit or registration has been required before the first AirSoft IRR came out in September 2006 because most AirSoft guns could not penetrate 1/4 inch of plywood at 10 ft. as specified in the PNP Rules and Regulations Governing the Manufacture, Sale, Possession and Carrying of Air Rifle/Pistols dated January 29, 1992:
5. c. The air rifle/pistol shall be fired three (3) times at an ordinary plywood, one-fourth (1/4) inch thick, from a distance of ten (10) feet. If any of the fired pellets penerated (passed through) the plywood, the air rifle/pistol shall be classified as a firearm, otherwise, the air rifle/pistol shall be classified as a toy.
